We're going to live through a total systemic and economic upheaval. Either it'll be thrust upon us by the climate crisis, or it'll be the positive one we create from ourselves, where we transition our economy for a sustainable future.
Where does ANIMATION fit? Exploitative industries weaponise this beautiful art form through manicured PR and advertising campaigns. They employ artwork as a shield against proper scrutiny! Polluters spend money convincing us that they're on our side, making it harder to confront their real harmful impact.
Only the CREATIVE SECTOR could so efficiently facilitate such misdirection. If artists and directors removed their voices and talents from such organisations, it'd depower the industries which are killing us.
In alignment with the interests of people and planet, I never take on work which perpetuates, directly or indirectly, extraction, greenwashing, or exploitation. That way, things can ACTUALLY get better.
